Well on this glorious sunny morning we welcome a new addition to the family. Congratulations!
It got me thinking about past things. This time prompted by an article in the Henley Standard about Scott of the Antarctic and a great aunt of ours; Lilane or Nin for short. She was born some time around 1890 and as a youngster used to tell us how she used to "bay sit" or "house keep" at a house in St. Marks Road. I note her name is not mentioned, for what reason I do not know. Still a nice little story.
