Henley Town Football Club

It's sad to hear of the current problems that the town side is having due to what seems in part to be postponements leading to a financial strain.

I do not know much about the town these days even though my family have been involved in the past. My football loyalties were with another local club^* which was my first love and who I played for over period of ten years. That was before a serious injury but, as I have said before, even though there is more to Henley than the Regatta, football has come a poor 3rd (at least) behind rugby and hockey for as long as I can remember.

Of course what makes it worse is that it has come at a time of very difficult economic times for most and this will make it even harder for the club to raise funds that they so need.

It goes without saying that I/we wish them well.

*Mainly because I was not the greatest footballer around but you could never fault my commitment!
